Report of the joint event International School on Quantum Electronics
The Eighteenth issue of ISQE’14 will have place from 29 September to 3 October 2014 in town of Sozopol, Black Sea, Bulgaria. This year issue is co-organized with the COST action BM1205. For more information on the event please follow the link: www.isqe2014.dir.bg
The International School on Quantum Electronics “Laser Physics and Applications” is a traditional event, organized biennially by the Institute of Electronics since 1980, which includes in its topics investigations of the basic physical phenomena, processes of interaction of laser radiation with different materials and new scientific results obtained in the research areas of quantum electronics and optics, as well as the technological practical applications of new ideas, devices, instruments and laser systems. Leading scientists are invited to deliver lectures on the fundamentals of laser physics and applications of lasers as well as the newest results in these research areas.
The topics include the following:
- Laser – matter interactions
- Laser spectroscopy and metrology
- Laser remote sensing and ecology
- Lasers in biology and medicine
- Laser systems and nonlinear optics
Ten grants for young researchers and PhD students are foreseen for participation in the ISQE’14 in the frames of BM1205 COST Action partners research organizations.

The abstracts for poster presentations of young participants would be received before 15.09.2014. Please, use the template. Abstracts must be sent by e-mail at: ekaterina.borisova@gmail.com.
